35th Annual Military Appreciation BQQ
What started 35 years ago as a casual BBQ has evolved into a fun community event that hosts over 500 military families.

After hosting a virtual event last year due to COVID-19, event organizers are excited to welcome the community back for an evening honoring the sacrifices and bravery of our military men and women. Adding three new honoree categories this year, the event is expected to be bigger than ever and they look forward to recognizing ten airmen and soldiers, two military spouses, two civilian employees, and one great business.

We invite you to join us this Friday, October 1st, from 4-8 PM at the Central States Fairground’s Midco Stage to witness the camaraderie within our military community.

There will be event hosts, military officials, and honorees present at the Central States Fairgrounds in front of the Midco Stage at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 1 for Media Interviews.

EVENT SCHEDULE

4:00 PM | Event begins with live music from Rachael Karpo, Pig Roast and area food trucks like Wall Meats, Everday Jake’s, Savour Pinoy, Maple Street BBQ will be set up, and activities along with a Fire Truck and Police car will be present.
5:30 PM | Program begins.
