The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes announced a pair of AHL call-ups today. Forward Matteo Gennaro has been recalled to the AHL affiliate of the Rush, the Tucson Roadrunners, while defenseman Charles-David Beaudoin has been recalled to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. The call-ups serve as the fourth Black Hills Chiropractic Roster Adjustment of the week.
Gennaro heads to Tucson after a brief stint with the Rush coming off of Injured Reserve in December. The 6’2”, 187-pound forward averaged nearly a point-per-game with the Rush, earning 2 goals, 4 assists, and 6 points in 9 games, along with a +1 rating. Last year as a rookie with Tuscon, the St. Albert, Alberta native played in 58 games, earning 7 goals, 5 assists, and 12 points.
Beaudoin leaves the Rush with over a point-per-game since his assignment by the Manitoba Moose from the Jacksonville Icemen. The 6’0”, 185-pound blue-liner is coming off of a four-point night (1g-3a) in an 8-2 win against the Wichita Thunder on January 15th, and has 2 goals, 7 assists, and 9 points in 7 games with the Rush. In his AHL career, Beaudoin has 101 games to his credit with the Binghamton Senators and Manitoba Moose, earning 17 points.
The Rush continue their busy stretch this week on the road on Friday, January 17th, visiting the Indy Fuel for just the third time in team history. Puck drop at Indiana Farmers Coliseum is slated for 5:35 p.m. MDT.
